Welcome to Emory Healthcare's Online Competency Test for the Administration of Moderate Sedation.

This site allows EHC Physicians, Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners to take an on-line competency test in order to demonstrate and document their level of competency regarding moderate sedation. Here is how it works:

Once you have signed on to the site with your personal information, you may proceed to review the self study module or take the test.

When you take a test, you must specify if you are taking the test for purposes of initial privileges or re-appointment privileges. Select initial privileges only if you are applying for initial appointment. For all other circumstances select re-appointment privileges. You must also specify the hospital locations at which you are applying for privileges.

When taking a test, you may elect to stop the test at any point, saving your answers up to that point. You can then resume the test later.

Once you have completed and submitted your test, the system will display a summary page with the number of questions you correctly answered and your final test score.

If your test score is less than 80%, you must review the self study module and then take the test again. If your test score is 80% or greater, you have met the requirements.
